At our October meeting we enjoyed a talk given by Jonathan and Ella from the Cats’ Protection League.
Ella volunteers for the Farnham, Camberley and district branch whilst Jonathan works at their Head Office in Sussex.
Jonathan gave a lively illustrated talk about the work that the Cats Protection do throughout the UK. He explained their main area of work is within the fields of adoption, reforming, neutering and guardianship. They also provide a special Paws Protect service for families escaping from domestic violence.
Ella explained the work the League does in the local area and how as a charity they very much appreciate the donations of food left in the boxes placed in some supermarkets.
Members asked many questions and were shown pictures of adorable cats and kittens that after having been rescued by them had been rehomed.
