20 April Zumba Gold - Kim Wright.

Kim has been doing Zumba classes in Windlesham and Lightwater for the last 15 years. Come and wiggle with us for a fun evening full of dancing, gentle exercise and laughter. Make sure to wear comfy clothing and trainers.

18 May Book Author - Louise Morrish

Louise Morrish is a historical fiction writer and librarian from Hampshire. She writes stories inspired by the lives of women in the past, who achieved extraordinary things, but whom history has forgotten.

15 June History of Magic - Errol Clayton

Errol will take us through the history of magic including performing some magic himself.

20 July Lumber Jills - Joanna Frost

Discover the story of forgotten heroines of World War Two as told by Joanna Foat, the UK expert on the Women’s Timber Corps. Get inspired by the powerful story of more than 15,000 women that left home between 1942 and 1946 to work in Britain’s forests.

21 September A to Z of the English Dictionary - Susan Purcell

Susan is a linguist in both senses of the word: she writes and speaks on the English language and linguistics and also speaks three foreign languages. She is the author of ten published books on these topics and is the editor of the Puzzler Crossword Solver’s Dictionary.

19 October Games & Quiz Night

The return of our popular quiz and games evening. Get your teams and thinking caps ready!

October Joint Chobham Ridges Meeting

Joint meeting hosted by Bisley at Bisley Village Hall at 1.45pm. The theme of the evening is “Back from the dead” by Neil Barton from Basingstoke Canal Society. Neil will cover the building of the canal, its decline, its restoration and the role of the WI.

16 November Christmas Traditions - Sarah Slater & Annual General Meeting

We welcome back one of our most popular speakers to tell us all about Christmas traditions from Victorian times to the present day.

Enjoy the festive cheer and a relaxing evening in the company of your WI friends. Bring and share some good food, and use the opportunities to get to know other Athena members better.

18 January Blue Sky Big Band and Athena's 8th year Anniversary

Come and join us for Camberley Athena’s birthday party and Blue Sky Big Band. They specialise in performing traditional Big Band swing music, popular jazz and even some rock & roll.

8 February Book Author - Jacqueline Sutherland (**change of date **)

Jacqueline lives in Guildford with her husband and four teenage boys. Always fan of words, she started with a career in PR and Marketing and then moved to creative writing. She writes in different genres under different names!

15March West Horsley Place - Carolyn Farrell

West Horsley Place is a wonderful historic estate to visit where creativity thrives and wellbeing is nurtured. Enjoy finding out about the history of the house and its ghostly inhabitants.
